What Is Bigg Boss?

Bigg Boss is the Indian version of the Dutch franchise show Bigg Brother. The show is produced by Endemol Shine India through Disney Star and Viacom18. 

Basically the show consists of contestants who are known as the “Housemates” and will live together in a house especially constructed for the show. The housemates are evaluated and voted on weekly or performance basis and evicted. 

Salman Khan has been the host for the past 14 seasons. 

The first, second runner-up and winner get a cash award. 

The contestants vary from season to season. 

Who is Aoora?

For the non-kpop fans, Park Min-Jun (박 민 존) or by his stage name of Aoora (아 우라), as he’s famously known is a South Korean singer and producer. He was part of the K-pop band AA (Double A) and part of the subunit Aoora & Hoik from 2011 till his contract expired in March 2016. 

Aoora made his solo debut with his digital single “Body Part” on March 28, 2014. He made his Indian debut on September 23, 2023 when he released his first Indian mashup “Swag Se Swagat” going on to receive a million views. Later he released the song “Cham Cham” and got worldwide recognition. 

Aoora came to India along with K-pop artist DJ Fridayy in September 2023 on behalf of the string of concerts organized across India to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Indian-South Korean Diplomatic relations. The concerts were held at the Educational Institutions across India. 

Aoora gained immense popularity and recently in an interview he said he was excited about doing a show like Bigg Boss as it was his first. He said he likes to make new friends. In terms of cultural differences, Aoora says it doesn’t matter.

Aoora made his entry into the Bigg Boss 17 house on 9th December 2023 in the “Shanivaar ka Vaar” episode.

1. Aoora’s Grand Entry into Biggg Boss 17.

As said above, Aoora made entered the show on 9th December 2023 as a wildcard entry in the “Shanivaar Ka Vaar” episode. On stage Aoora gave a performance on his song “Jimmy Jimmy: Kpop Version” and Salman Khan’s song “Jaye Jaye” from the movie “Mujhse Shadi Karoge”.

He also taught Salman how to make a finger heart and say sarangheyo (love) as well. Aoora said his ideal type is ½ sexy ½ cute.

2. Aoora Found a BFF In Chintu (Samarth Jurel)

On entering Bigg Boss 17, Aoora has found a BFF in Chintu or as he calls him Chin-2 (Samarth Jurel). 

Such was their friendship that they began calling themselves Changu and Mangu. Aoora was Changu while Chintu was Mangu.
