Right from the time when BTS went viral and broke the internet, Indian Fans cannot just keep calm. The Indian BTS Army craves their concert. In the midst of COVID crisis looming around the globe, BTS may not have tours to foreign countries mostly now. 

The entire world is curiously watching the holding of the Olympic games, though it is without spectators. But at least this will instil the confidence of holding these kinds of public events / shows by adhering to the COVID protocols and mandatory requirements.

Indian situations for BTS concert

India is under a strong pressure of the pandemic, so it may not possible in 2021.  Also, more than half of the year 2021 had already passed.  Keeping this in mind, we can as well plan optimistically for the next year 2022.

However in case BTS plan to go for their mandatory military service in 2022 then we have to wait quite much longer.

One way this will be quite good.  In the sense that, the Indian ARMY can chalk out the plans and strategies to popularize and increase the sale of KPOP Albums through online / digital marketing ways.

Why is there a possibility for BTS or any Kpop group to come to India?

A silver lining in this process is the huge success of their BTS’s comeback song “Butter “ became second highest in the top three countries that got counted in Spotify streaming.

“Butter” also made Spotify India’s biggest debut of all time. Not only this, India was second-highest in the world to stream “Dynamite” on the first day on Spotify! So Exciting right??

This is a clear and encouraging indication that KPOP is becoming popular day by day in India.  To accelerate this viewership and the fandom in India, the time is ripe to do some online KPOP with a very wide publicity and sponsorship.  This will definitely increase the Indian ARMY numbers across India.

More publicity and advertisements are needed to promote and increase sales and Brand Value of KPOP albums and Merch among the younger India.

Many people are waiting for that wonderful moment of BTS visiting India.  The anxiety or the concern of the Indian ARMY should be that their visit to India is remarkable and achieved its goal.

However it is a harsh truth that India is still not ready for BTS or any KPOP group Concert or Visit. Do you want to know why?

Challenges and problems for BTS India tour

Even if BTS decides to come, the following factors need to be addressed like right now! These things can be hurdles and challenges that any Kpop band could face for concert and visit to India –

VENUE

Indian ARMY are literally scattered all over the country. So, if BTS holds a concert, say in Delhi or Mumbai, how the fans from different parts of the country will come? Delhi and Mumbai are taken as a venue keeping in mind the connectivity to other centres and states within India and the infrastructural advantages. 

TICKET PRICING

As we all know India is a price-sensitive country. High pricing of the event tickets are not practically possible. This is another major challenge. To off-set the deficit cost of the event, the organizers have to go for more sponsorships and high value advertisements from leading Corporate Houses.

“Still rich Indian BTS ARMYs or maybe celebrities who love BTS would have no problem with this but what about student ARMYs who actually spends hours to stream BTS MVs?“

ALBUM

 Album sales are very important when it comes to musicians and band. Holding an actual concert takes the album sales into consideration. The album sales in our country is almost near to zero, in fact shipping’s are also not available to India right now. So, searching for an official album is so difficult in India.

SAFETY

Most of the fans for K pop music in India are young people and students who may or may not be suitable for the concert environment. Especially going alone can be a huge problem for some of those.

Yes, the above points are not deterrents but to be addressed judiciously to avoid any last-minute mess in the event. The safety and image of our dear idols are more important and it cannot be compromised.

BTS enjoys a huge fan-following in India

We often see BTS and also other Kpop Idols appreciating our culture and addressing the fans!

The BTS concert planned in India should not be an ordinary event. It is a long-cherished dream of the POP Music lovers and the Indian ARMY all over the country.

So, it should be done with meticulous planning keeping in mind the impact of pandemic and the statutory requirements or standards to be adhered to in these kinds of mass congregations.

All progress we can see now is the booming merchandise available in India. The more the albums that are sold here can catch their attention to come to our country!

But, definitely it will be hosted in India, though not in the year 2021 as planned earlier, but for sure in the year 2022, the year of HOPE.
